Arranged in the gardens, the spacious contemporary villa-style guest rooms and suites are on the ground and first floor and offer elegant top-of-the-range furnishings. All the rooms and suites have a king size bed or twin beds (+ cot on request), en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, bath tub, luxury bath products, hair dryer and bathrobes, air conditioning, WiFi, flat-screen satellite TV, telephone, safe, mini bar, coffee/tea making facilities and furnished balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens, some with pool and sea views.

Opening onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the infinity pools and the hotel gardens, with a breath-taking panorama of the Mediterranean as a horizon, the restaurant and bar offer a refined and elegant setting with a menu influenced by Mediterranean cuisine, with fresh quality ingredients mainly from local producers.

The poolside restaurant La Table du Paradisu specialises in Mediterranean cuisine and serves a delicious continental and American style breakfast, lunch and gourmet dinner (reservation required, extra cost).

Facing the sparkling sea, throughout the day until the end of the evening, the bar is the ideal place to relax after a day under the Monticello sun and enjoy drinks from a wide wine list and signature cocktails inspired by the island flora.

The reception offers guests hotel and local information. There is shuttle bus to for guests to access the town of L’Île Rousse and there is a boutique by reception selling a selection of local products. The fully equipped fitness room has a cardio area, free weights and is open 24 hours a day.

Set in the gardens, between the guest rooms and the sea, there is a lovely 2-tier pool (one heated at 24 degrees in low season) with a waterfall to the second pool surrounded by a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Pathways through the gardens lead to a small rocky beach and the sea.

 

New in 2024, the Spa area is located in a separate building and is truly remarkable with Hamman, sauna, sensory shower, Himalayan salt brick wall for total relaxation and large heated whirlpool bath. There is also a fully fitted gym. Both the gym and spa area are free for guests use. Massages and treatments using local Corsican products can be booked in advanced (extra cost). 

Casa Paradisu is situated just outside the charming port and town of L’Île Rousse on the north coast of Corsica, 23km from Calvi and 73km from Bastia. From the hotel, there is a coastal path leading to L’Île Rousse beach (approximately 1.5km). It is then about 500m level walk along the beach or road to the town with a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a small market on the edge of the town square with a variety of Corsican products. 

From the town, a coastal train connects L’Île Rousse with Calvi in the west and Corte to the south east allowing guests without a hire car to still be able to explore the beautiful local area. For those with a hire car, the apricot-coloured granite buildings of the numerous little villages of La Balagne are only a short drive away, where visitors can immerse themselves in the calm, relaxed way of life of the locals and enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside down to the crystal blue sea beyond.

L’Île Rousse is named after the red granite islets now linked to the town by a causeway built by Pasquale Paoli when he created the port in 1758. Whilst architecturally more reminiscent of buildings found in southern France, this beautiful town still retains an authentic Corsican atmosphere. A pleasant evening pastime is to sit beneath the plane trees and date palms in the central square, Place Paoli, with an aperitif or a coffee, watching games of pétanque and listening to the locals chatting in Corsu, the island’s own language. This is one of the warmest towns on the island with shelter from the Balagne hills and with gently sloping sandy beaches, L’Île Rousse is popular with couples and families alike.

Often referred to as the ‘Garden of Corsica’, La Balagne is famous for its fertile soils, coves of golden sand, winding coastline and charming, historic villages. The region is one of the largest producers of olives and olive oil, almonds and honey on the island, and plays host to numerous, highly rated vineyards. With its rich landscapes, hiking trails and the beautiful clear waters of the north western quarter of the island, La Balagne is the perfect place to experience typical Corsican charm.
